Kurt Browning
Superintendent of Pasco County Schools
‣ in 2020, Browning Demoted Dr. David LaRoche, a Principal that was running against him. Many stated it was a political move.
‣ In November of 2021, Browning removed the ability to comment on all Pasco County Schools' Social media accounts, leaving many to question if this is legal and taking away the right of free speech.
‣ Though he has apologized for this statement, "I'm not talking about your super-bright kids, I'm talking about your kids of color" leaving many shocked and upset about it.
‣ In January 2022, Browning overstepped his authority by using Policy 5120 to move a student from her school to another without previous discussion, because her mother was asking too many questions.
